In this era of technology, the growth of automation and the robotic industry is truly astonishing. And the use of Remote-control systems and Robotics in our everyday life is becoming much more common than we ever imagined. And now will be the perfect time to familiarize our kids with various robotic toys and RC toys to help them adapt to this fast-paced world.

Now if we tried to talk about every advancement that has been made in the field of robotics and robotic toys, we will be here all day. But we can not move forward without mentioning the first robot toy that was designed to initiate this revolution.

Lilliput, The First Robot Toy

Lilliput robot was the first robot toy made back in the mid-19th century in Japan. Lilliput is believed to the first-ever wind-up toy that could walk on its own. And with this invention, japan at that time became the leading toy manufacturer in the world.

This toy robot was run on a fully mechanical system, where users could manually wind to a certain limit and can use that potential energy to move around the floor.

Modern-day RC toys and Robotic toys

From Lilliput to Wall-e, Robotic toys has been through a monumental change. Today’s RC toys are not only fun to play with visually pleasing designs but also offer kids a great opportunity to learn about various technologies from an early stage of their life.

  • Modern-day RC toys and Robotic toys get kids used to various sensors like optical sensors, sound sensors, temperature sensors, Pressure Sensors and so much more.
  • Get first-hand experience with the revolutionary technological advancement of today’s world.
  • Learn how to strategically solve the problem with the aid of automation.
  • Inspire them to dive into the world of science and become tomorrow’s tech leaders.

Robot toy kit

Unlike the previous-gen models, we can find various robot kits. These robot kits allow kids to get involved with building robots and improve their understanding of the STEM fields and engineering. A great example of an RC robot toy kit will be the Meccano-Erector Meccanoid G15.

From programming with an app to motion capture, to improve its LIM (Learned Intelligent Movement). You also get the freedom to build it to various recognizable shapes and sizes.

Remote control toys

RC toys on the other hand offer you the ability to control the moving toy with prebuilt programs. With a very user-friendly remote control, you get to choose how to move, acceleration rate, the direction of movement and so much more.

What does the future hold for robotics?

With the exponential development in the field of robotics, the future of robotic toys and RC toys is truly a mystery. But robot toys are expected to replace every traditional toy in the future due to them offering fun, interactive, and extremely innovative gameplay and experience.

In the near future, robotic toys are expected to repair themselves like von Neumann machines. They will not only offer a play experience but also can be utilized in every aspect of life. A fully customizing feature according to the preference of the user is an absolute must for the future.

Technology is all around us. And our children need to understand the basic aspect of it to tackle the challenges of the future. And robot toys will offer all the logical thinking and problem-solving skill that is crucial to get involved with technology.

Software is eating up the world. The future of modular robot technology and RC technology will continue to offer the coding and development of a robot. This is more intuitive, as it directly interacts with your own world. So, there is a lot to look forward to in the future of RC and Robotic toys.
